AFL-CIO President Rich Trumka says fast-food CEO Andy Puzder is a terrible choice for U.S. Labor Secretary. And he has a message for Congress.
[Rich Trumka]: "He or she has a responsibility to stand up for all working people. Andy Puzder fails this test miserably. His fast food company routinely steals workers' wages. He's referred to his employees as the 'best of the worst'.
And he says a 'sense of accomplishment' is a substitute for overtime pay.
Simply put, Andy Puzder doesn't respect the dignity of work. America deserves better.
When the Senate finally gets around to considering his nomination we strongly encourage them to vote no."
