Hostess executives are hoping the U.S. Bankruptcy Court will allow the company to pay out more bonuses amounting to roughly $1.8 million. The company alleges it needs the money so the executives will stick it out through the liquidation process. Yesterday the company also told the bankruptcy court that it wouldn’t be able to continue paying retiree benefits of roughly $1.1 million per month.
