Workers are starting to find more confidence when it comes to the job market. Career site Glassdoor’s most recent survey found that 51 percent of workers plan to start looking for a new job in 2013 if the economy stays the same or improves. One in five of workers surveyed will start looking for new work in the first three months of 2013. When it comes the most important reasons a worker will take a new job 77 percent of women say it comes down to salary while 69 percent of men make the same claim. Workers are also seeing positive improvement overall at theuir current workplaces. 65 percent said they were awarded new perks which Glassdoor lists as being able to work remotely, casual dress, flexible work hours, or receiving new stock. That’s an all-time high for the site which started tracking employee confidence in the third quarter of 2011. When it comes to job security Glassdoor found that concerns seems to have leveled off at around 17 percent concerned about being laid off within six months. That was consistent with the third quarter of 2012.

As for the unemployed currently job seeking, Glassdoor saw a slight increase in job seeking confidence. 37 percent, up from 34 percent, said they expect to find a job that matches the experience and compensation level of their previous job.
