New York State AFL-CIO President Denis Hughes will kick off a press conference at City Hall on Wednesday, May 25th with RWDSU President Stuart Appelbaum, UFT President Michael Mulgrew, Teamsters Local 237 President Gregory Floyd, and affiliates of the New York City Central Labor Council, as labor leaders call on New York State legislators to pass the Marriage Equality Bill.
The labor principals will be joined by Ross Levi, Executive Director of Empire State Pride Agenda and former Miss America and AFTRA Eastern Regional Vice President Kate Shindle.
