OPEIU labor attorney Seth Goldstein brought the case on behalf of truckers working for Menards - a midwest home improvement chain owned by billionaire Republican John Menard.
Majority Of Charter School Teachers At Cesar Chavez School In DC Want To Go Union - 06-01-17
By Doug Cunningham The American Federation of Teachers says a "decisive majority" of teachers have filed a petition with the NLRB to have a union election at Cesar Chavez Prep Middle school in Washington, D.C. It's the result of a two-year organizing effort by the AFT. If the union wins the election it will be the first charter school in D.C. to become union.
70% Of Californians Back Medicare For All Single Payer Healthcare Bill For Their State - 06-01-17
By Doug Cunningham Seventy percent of Californians support creating Medicare for all single payer health care statewide. That's according to a new poll done from May 25th to May 29th. The California Nurses Association/National Nurses United is strongly backing the bill in the state legislature to create a California Medicare for all type healthcare system.
