By Doug Cunningham 21,000 CWA workers at AT&T Mobility will strike Friday if no new labor agreement is reached by then. It will be a one day strike - with workers returning to work Monday, May 22nd.
In announcing the strike CWA said "This greedy company makes billions off our backs but continues to try and take from us - demanding more work for less and trying to replace us with low-wage workers at third party dealers and overseas. It’s time to show them we’re not going to sit back and take it."
The strike would affect AT&T Mobility workers in 36 states and Washington DC. CWA has also filed unfair labor practices charges against AT&T.
AT&T makes over a billion dollars a month profit.
