Two measures passed by the House of Representatives last week could make it easier for U.S. workers in fights regarding pay discrimination. Combined the measures lift a cap on damages filed in a pay discrimination suit, restrict employers from how they can defend their decision, and extends the length of time an underpaid employee has to file a complaint. Statistics show that women make 78 cents for every dollar made by a male in the same position.
