Economic Report:

Males are being hit hard by the shrinking job market. 80-percent of the laid-off workers since the recession began have been male. In November of 2008 women held 49 percent of jobs in the United States. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics women could soon be the majority workforce in the country. The shift can be attributed to the heavy loss of male dominated jobs such as in construction and manufacturing.
