On Friday the White House committed $25 million to help retrain out of work autoworkers. The announcement by President Barack Obama’s so-called Car Czar Ed Montgomery didn’t specify what communities would receive the assistance. Montgomery said the grants would “help those workers who have been displaced learn new skills in these high growth and emerging industries and get support in finding where these new jobs are.”
