Yesterday a bus load of Boston Police officers arrived in New York to help the NYPD picket republican events attended by mayor Michael Bloomberg. Its not lost on the 10,000 police officers protecting Bush's convention at Madison Square Garden that they're working with out a contract due to a republican mayor.

Micheal Palladino, President of the New York City Detectives' Endowment Association,

"The Republicans are here in town and they're going to stand at Ground Zero, and claim victory for the next four years, but it was the police and fire who gave lives there."

Law enforcement officers traveled from as far away as California to support a fair contract.
