British Airways to cut 1,200 additional jobsSubmitted by Jesse Russell on November 8, 2009 - 7:56pm
British Airways said on Friday that an additional 1,200 jobs would be cut on top of nearly 4000 cuts previously announced. In July the airline let it be known that it would seek to let go of 3700 jobs by the end of March 2010. The company also began shifting 3000 full time workers to part-time employment. Last week a court ruled that British Airways could fly overseas flights with small crews. Workers are currently voting on possible strike action against the airline. |
