Jobless Claims Drop in Last Month of 2009

The second to last week of 2009 saw new jobless claims drop. On Thursday, the Department of Labor reported claims for unemployment dropped by 22,000 hitting the lowest rate since July of 2008. The four week average for jobless claims has fallen for 17 weeks in a row. Economists project the jobless rate for the December will likely be 10 percent.
