Wal-Mart is in court in California as a defendant in a suit brought on behalf of more than 115,000 current and former Wal-Mart workers. The suit alleges that for years Wal-Mart denied lunch breaks to its workers, pushing them to work right through lunch and even do overtime work without compensation. This is one of some 40 legal actions against Wal-Mart for its employment practices. Lawyers for the Wal-Mart workers say forcing workers to work through lunch went on for years. Wal-Mart managers insisted the work get done even though there weren't enough workers to do the work while also getting their lunch breaks.
