The United Steelworkers has gotten Dupont to withdraw from its efforts to win $7 billion in contracts to clean up and manage the Savanna River nuclear weapons facility in South Carolina. The USW's Joe Drexler says the union's opposition to Dupont was based on research showing a bad safety record when Dupont used to manage the facility.

[Joe Drexler] : "We felt very strongly that allowing Dupont in there was a jeopardy to the communities and the workers who would be working there under them."
