Major video game releases could be delayed by possible SAG, AFTRA strike

Mario and Luigi are seeking a bigger share of coins from King Koopa. Just as producers of video game systems prepare to launch a new wave, major video game projects could be put on hold due to an actor strike. The Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists have asked members to vote and results are expected on June 7. The unions represent workers who provide the likenesses and voices for video game characters. The unions are seeking ongoing payments on games using an actors likeness that sells 400,000 units or more. The industry prefers making one single-payment.
