Vietnamese Happy Meal toy makers reach compromiseMore than 9,000 Vietnamese workers who produce McDonald's Happy Meals toys are a little bit happier after a two-day strike last week. A settlement was reached on Thursday after the workers walked off the job over labor abuse allegations. The factory owners agreed to a 10 percent raise and to limit shift's to 10 hours daily, with Sundays off. McDonald's issued a statement saying the company has a very strict supplier code of conduct and that all issues were resolved. Asia | McDonald's | Posted 05/16/2005 - 8:16pm | 1028 reads
