The AFL-CIO is talking to organizations involved in migrant day labor centers in a broad effort to establish a closer working relationship with those workers. AFL-CIO Organizing Director Stewart Acuff says although he’s involved in the talks, it’s not really an organizing effort.

[Stewart Acuff]: “It’s more a part of a relationship to build workers rights and to build workers rights for immigrants. And it’s part of our effort to create meaningful immigration reform.”
