Delphi has made a deal with Hewlett Packard and EDS that will outsource 90 percent of the company’s IT work. The company, currently in bankruptcy court, has requested that the plans remain confidential. The company said that the “outsourcing of IT services will enable Delphi to reduce the IT supplier base from 100 regional based suppliers to fewer than 10 direct suppliers. The company would not say whether or not those jobs would be moved to other U.S. workers or to foreign workers.
