Hoffa Says Teamsters "Very Active" In Election, Predicts Wins - 10/26/06By Doug Cunningham Organized labor is out in force mobilizing voters for the November 7th elections. Teamsters President Jim Hoffa says his union is very active and expects some good results at the ballot box. [Jim Hoffa]: "The Teamsters have a complete plan of basically a field operation and giving monies to candidates - contributions from our DRIVE program. We're very active and we believe we're going to elect a Democratic governor in Ohio, we're gonna keep a Democratic governor in Michigan, we're going to beat Rick Santorum in Pennsylvania. So there are a lot of good things going on out there." The Teamsters say they're cooperating with the AFL-CIO in an effort to elect a working family-friendly Congress in November.
