Economic Report

By Jesse Russell

The newspaper industry continues to struggle as a new study reveals that print readership fell 2.1 percent from the same time last year. The Newspaper Association of America said fewer than half of U.S. adults read a daily newspaper. The report comes as newspapers around the country, including the LA Times and the Chicago Tribune, are slashing jobs. Some good news – the number of 25-34 year olds visiting newspaper websites increased by 13.7 percent.
