Lede: A suit has been filed against the United States Postal Service for holding secret meetings behind the backs of workers. Jesse Russell has more:

The suit filed on May 30 by the American Postal Workers Union along with Consumers Alliance for Postal Services alleges that the USPS Mailers Technical Advisory Committee held a number of secret meetings and failed to provide minutes. The committee plays an important role in advising the postal service and under federal law advisory committees are required to hold open meetings. The suit also alleges that the committee has refused membership to the Alliance which represents nonprofits, small mailers, and individual consumers. The Committee is made up of trade associations that represent large business mailers. The Committee is responsible for advising the USPS on issues including postal rates and regulations.
