IWW Smells Something Fishy In New York - 09/19/07

One of the top seafood companies in New York City is being sued in federal court by 16 employees who allege pay violations. The workers for Wild Edibles are seeking class action status for their suit alleging that the company’s owner fired four union workers when they joined the Industrial Workers of the World. The IWW has been seeking to organize the company after employees said they often work 10 to 12 hours per shift without overtime pay.
