Federal Judge Sides With AFL-CIO, Extends Restraining Order on DHS - 10/03/07By Doug Cunningham A federal judge Tuesday extended a temporary restraining order blocking the Department of Homeland Security from implementing a new rule on social security number mismatches. The AFL-CIO and the ACLU are suing, claiming the rule could cause U.S. citizens to lose jobs. The AFL-CIO says the rule violates both current law and workers’ rights.
