Federal judge says dealers can unionize at Foxwoods - 03/17/08Dealers at Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut can move forward with plans to organize. Last week a federal judge threw out a complaint made by the tribal casino to the National labor Relations Board alleging that organizers for the United Autoworkers intimidated the dealers. In his decision Judge Raymond Green said that most opf the evidence provided by the casino was related to statements provided by unidentified employees. He said that due to the lack of identified sources he had to rule that the “allegations lack merit.” The casino is owned by the Mashantucket Pequots Tribal Nation which issued a statement Friday saying it will ask the NLRB to review the ruling.
