Economic Report:

Jobless claims rose sharply last week hitting the highest level in two months. According to the Labor Department, jobless benefits applications jumped by 22000 over the previous week totaling 378,000. Claims are now at their highest four week average since a series of hurricanes hit the Gulf Coast in 2005. California and Michigan were the hardest hit.
