ACORN Reaches Out To 2.8 Million Low-Income Voters - 05/06/08By Doug Cunningham ACORN – the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now –is conducting a voter outreach program that will reach 2.8 million low and moderate income voters this year. Toni McElroy is ACORN’s Texas State Chair. [McElroy] "We are targeting African-American, Latino, new immigrant and other underrepresented groups to make sure that we register them to vote, to get out and vote and that we keep them engaged in the process."
