Gettelfinger Calls New American Axle Proposal "Insulting" - 05/12/08

 Printer-friendly version Send to friendHopes for a conclusion to the American Axle strike faded on Saturday when United Auto Workers President, Ron Gettelfinger reported that the company had offered a contract that included closing three plants. The union leader called the new proposal an “insult". American Axle workers are going into their 11th week on strike.
