Economic Report:
Three weeks of declines in the unemployment rate were completely erased as the Labor Department released new numbers on Thursday. Applications for unemployment insurance rose to 444,000, an increase of 15,000 over the week prior. During the same week last year claims were 320,000. The Labor Department will unveil monthly unemployment numbers today. Expectations suggest the rate will increase to 5.8 percent.
