Economic Report: California Home Price Plummet Triggers Sales Spike - 11/19/08

Economic Report:

With prices dropping like a rock, sales of new homes in Southern California rose like a rocket. Homes sales were up 67 percent over a year ago as prices were down by 32.6 percent. That is a 2.8 percent drop since September of this year. Six counties make up Southern California and 21,532 homes were sold in that region during October, the highest number of homes moved all year.
